Ever since the discovery of computer, there has been a great leap in the advancement of technology. Way back in 1975 when Bill Gates opened the Microsoft, almost all the countries in the world wanst it.Computer has done a lot in improving the quality of human life,in the telecommunications have done a great changes,we have now these so called emails,instant messages,and most especially the internet.
In the business area, it improves the quality and increase the quantity of productsthat a certain company is producing.Computer technology also reduces the use of manpower through the use of the so called ‘Robotics’. It shortens the use of human laborand thus surpasses the quantity of products that human can do. Mankind reach the outer space, they reach Mars and even beyond by the use of computers. In the modern warfare, soldiers need not to go to the battlefield but insteadthey will just send in those unmanned vehicles anywhere in the world and then in a matter of seconds it can reach the enemy for an unimaginable destruction. They can achieve this through the use of GPRS,sattlelites controlled by computers.
In conclusion to this, computer has brought a lot of improvements in the life ofevery individual. With out this technology the world seems to stop turning, it seems that people can no longer move,this modern day gadgets becomes a necessity for every individual.
Computer made peoples lives easier, it makes people lives happier, and at the same time lazier. It guides mankind one step closer to destruction through modern warfare arsenals.Yes it improves our quality of life but we should not forget that this is just a technologycreated by human intelligence, we humans should still control it and not let this technology control our lives.

journal # 12 : Reaction of P.S. I LOVE YOU

The Two Restaurants That I Recommened :
"Bombay" In San Diego
Bombay is an Indian food restaurant located in San Diego,California.They provide wonderful Indian food,especially their "curry".I have never had this good taste of curry until i had their curry.They put a lot of different flavoring to cook their curry. Every single curry has its individual flavor and fragrance.Comparing to other country's curry,Indian curry has a lot of tastes while you are eating it.
Although there are tons of different ways to cook India meal,but the most popular meal is curry.It uses chicken,lamb,or fish for basics,than put onions,tomatoes,chill papers,ginger,curry and various materials to cook it.The feature of India food is flavoring called Masala.Its is a big difference compare to other country's curry.The India Curry mix various taste,such as sour,sweet,bitter,spicy,salty and so on. Believe or not,if you have a chance to eat really India food,I'm sure you won't forget its taste for the rest of your life.

In and Out a fast food chain.Only located in the west coast.The first In-N-Out Burger was founded in 1948.This fast food chain store is famous in California.They provide really fresh fast food,such french fries,hamburgers,drinks.Their hamburgers make of 100% pure beef meat.and prepared a lot of fresh vegetables mix with hamburgers.Also their french fries cut it with fresh potatoes.Sometime other fast food chain store's french fries taste way too soft,don't have a fresh fries's taste.But IN-N-Out's food taste pretty nice and yummy.

Journal #10 : Life in USA
Everyone has its particular life.There are parti-coloured challenges.Some people like to have a smooth life without any challenges;some would prefer to have exciting and changeably life.For me, I'm prefer both conbine together.Sometime its hard to go though the tough time,but you will grow up and learn more after that.
Life is too short to waste.Since i have been came to USA,there are a lot of life challenges are waiting for me. In the beginning i feel so home sick, i almost cry every single night. Coming to this bread new place with this quite old age.Feeling i'm not that young anymore. Having a lot of missions are waiting for me to accomplish them which is get into a good graduate school,reach my goal,and so on. However,i'm still making time.I want to go back home , but i can't. too many struggles and complex reasons,making me still here hardly.
Looking back to my past of 25 years,i feel i still didnt do anything that meant to my life.I always smile,laugh and so enjoy my pointless life.Life is meant to be savored.This year i would like to try and do more.I feel I'm lucky, the school that i'm attending, all my three teacher are really great.The morning class, teacher really try hard and work hard to teach us.She is cute and nice.I really admire her attitude in class,she makes the boring class become interesting. I have to say,i'm learning a lot from her class,such as how to write different type of essay,how to write a casual dairy.She is 110% a good teacher.My afternoon classes, those two teachers,are really good ,too. i learn how to deal with business conflict,how to compromise the business and so on. Its being helpful to me already.
Finally,even there are a lot of tough roads are waiting for me, I 'll still be strong.I believe, if i cant do it ,who else is going to do that for me ..

Journal # 9 : How do i choice my school while i'm not attending
It's hard to deiced which school you are going to attend,when you have never seen the school before.Besides,what major do you want to study also really important.Because the education system is a little bit different between USA and Taiwan,than sometimes it's really hard to choice.
How did I decide to attend the school you are now attending.First,I decided should area i want to live in.I choice to study in California,because i like the weather, beaches,and feeling,than decided which area in California.I wanted to apply the schools in San Diego so badly.However , I can't ,because a lot of artificial reasons.So sad.I want to apply the schools in San Diego,because the weather,and environment are great.Father, i was studying in UCSD for a term. I really like the professors, and campus a lot.
Second,I choice the major i want to study,I want to take Marketing as a major. After that, i compare the schools ,than decided which are i'[m going to apply.I did a lot of research about what is the school requirment,what is the school 's rate in the USA,When is their deadline,and so on. It's really a tough question which is choicing the schools.I at least compared 10 schools.
I hope my choices will be correct.I believe if i study harder,i can reach the goal ,and complish my dream.

Journal # 8:In what ways are your country similar or different to the United States?
Taiwan ,an beautiful island is located in the Western Pacific ; U.S.A.,the third biggest state in the world. Every country in this world all has their own culture. However ,when one culture meets other culture,what will happen ? Conflict and Compromise.
Comparing by American and Taiwan's culture, the western culture pays more attention to individual development, but comparatively Chinese culture would care about comprehensive development more.First,there are differences in family values. Chinese cultures stress on family love ethics. It is common for parent to buy things for their children, even if they have already grown up ,parents still support them. But it is different in the west. When children grow up, parents are no longer support them,and they need to be responsible for all their expenses. In addition,some American students start to work since they are really young. but such thing seldom happens in Taiwan.
Second,let's take a look at the differences between food habits. People from the east eat rice as the main food source ,the people from the west choose potato and cheese. Beside easterners get used to chop stick, westerners use fork and spoon. Although there are lots of culture differences in these two countries.However recent years social vicissitude, we discover western culture gradually influences Taiwan. These are quite clearly from the food we eat, fashion we wear,and some attitude.

Journal # 7: Friendship
Real Friendship is real soul has connect with. It's hard to find a real friendship.Once you find it, it's all yours.It won't go away as long as you keep it in a good condition.I love to make friends with all kinds of people all the around th world.Its fun to get to know people with different background,culture,hobby,and so on.
I have my crews,and miss them so so much.All my friends spreaded.Some are in japan,Some are still in the same palce as i from,and rest of them spread in different places.
We used to hang out everyday,do things together,such as go to night market,clubbing,party,study,and so on.
Now we still talk all the time, just cant see them in person. I miss them,and love them so much.Sometimes its just weird to meet someone you have never expected you will be a good friend of them. But life is just like this ,you wont know what will happen next.

Journal # 6 : Huge Holiday
In my country,Taiwan. We have a lot of different Holidays. However, the most important one is Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year in Taiwan is a holiday and festival that all the family get together ,celebrate ,and spent time with each other . Every year about this time, the same things happen: Busy cities empty, traditional markets fill with holiday shoppers, and people journey home.That is what the Chinese new year looks like.
During Lunar New Year, also called Spring Festival, people return to their hometowns, often in the countryside, to gather with their extended families.The Chinese new year always happens on the first day of lunar year.In the Chinese new year eve, all the family will have a family reunion dinner, and put a stove under the table. At Chinese New Year's Eve reunion ,we frequently have fish for dinner beacause the word "fish" in Chinese sounds the sames as the word "extra".
Before dinner, we need to clean the house cleanly.People clean up their house before Chinese New year.cleaning can take away bad luck.In the end of new year eve,adults will give red envelope to children.Most of time,children expect this particular time so badly to get ther money.Red is said to bring good luck,and thats why the "hong bao" given to children are red.In the end of the night,people will stay up until the midnight beacause they believe it'll make their parents have a long life.People usually watch the lion dance and set off firecrackers to welcome the New Year. Because of the ancient story, it can scar away the monster "Nien"..
Another tradition using this color is when people decorate houses with red Spring Couplets; Chinese good-luck sayings written on red paper. The red Spring Couplets wish happiness, wealth and longevity. They are hung upside-down because, in Chinese, 'upside-down' sounds the same as 'arrive,' so all of these wishes will arrive at your house. The Chinese word for fish sounds like the words 'abundance' and, as a tradition, some of the fish is left uneaten so there will be something left over in the next year. Traditional New Year cake, 'nian gao', is the symbol of advancement, a sweet life and abundance. Golden dumplings, representing wealth and the coming of the New Year, are also eaten.

Journal # 5 : My Weekend
Last Friday,I didn't go to Knott's Barry Farm.I just stayed at home,didn't do anything really.I was being a lazy bone,always tried to study more,but never achieved.So lets talk about something else.How about "Spring Scream"? Have you ever heard about that ?
What is "Spring Scream" ?Its a music festival in Taiwan.Taking place one time per year,about 3 days.14 years ago in the land of cover music and pub bands there was a handfull of young bands with the passion to rock. These bands and their closest friends all took a road trip to Kenting with the humble ideas of getting to nature, learning to camp, making new friends and playing a show. Little did they know they were making history.
Since the first Spring Scream year of the pig 1995, the number of bands has grown to over 500 applicant bands, the music, the musicians, and the live shows have evolved and improved to become the most entertaining weekend of music on the island.
All good friends of mine and I ,were went to spring scream this year in April. That was a wonderful time that i spend with my friends.We did a lot of stupid things,played games,listened to the rock bands.During the day , chilled in the beach even the weather was sore of cool.However there were still a lot of hot chicks wore the hottest Bikini walking down the street.
I miss my friends back to Taiwan so badly.We always have a wonderful ,awesome time with each other.

Journal #4 : 擔仔麵( Taⁿ-a-mī) /Dan Dan Noddles
The earliest ta-a-mi is from Tainan, and it located near the sea. The fisherman cant work in the ocean because the weather is really bad,such as typhoon or something. In order to maintain the family expenses. Therefore, opening this business called Ta-a-mi. It’s also called-29 day lunar month.
Dan Dan noodles is a classic dish of Taiwan. It consists of a spicy sauce containing preserved vegetables, chili oil, sichuan peppers, pork, and scallions served over noodles. In American Chinese food and with many modern vendors, ground peanuts, peanut butter, or sesame paste are added, resulting in a stark contrast from the old, authentic version.
Ta-a-mi
12 oz fresh Chinese noodles (or 8 oz dried)
Sauce
1 Tbs peanut oil
4 Tbs Sichuanese ya cai (preserved vegetables. Look for preserved mustard leaves)
3 scallions, green parts only
1/2 Tbs dark soy sauce
2 - 3 Tbs chili oil or to taste
1.5 Tbs Chinkiang vinegar (or black Chinese vinegar)
1/2 - 1 Tbs Sichuan peppercorns
Pork Topping
a little peanut oil
4 oz ground pork
1 tsp. Shaoxing rice wine (or med. dry sherry)
2 tsp. light soy saucesalt to taste
Heat 1 Tbs of peanut oil in wok over high flame. Add the ya cai and stir-fry for about 20 seconds, until it is fragrant. Set aside. Add another Tbs of oil to wok and reheat, then add the pork and stir-fry. As the meat separates, splash in the wine. Add the soy sauce and salt to taste, and continue to stir-fry until the meat is well-cooked but not too dry. Remove from the wok and set aside.
Finely slice the scallions.
Put stir-fried ya cai and other sauce ingredients into a serving bowl and mix.
Cook noodles according to the instructions on the package. Then drain and add them to the sauce. Sprinkle with the pork and serve immediately.
If serving from a big bowl, mix sauce and noodles and meat until evenly distributed. Otherwise, assemble each portion in individual serving bowls and allow people to mix their own.

Journal #3 :Traveling
There are 193 sovereign nations, 61 dependent areas, and 6 disputed territories in whole world.How many have you been ever gone in the rest of your life ? Traveling is a way to relax yourself and gain more knowledge that you have never learnt form the books.
As the saying goes "All work and no play make Jack a dull boy." I just want to change one word from "play" to "travel"; it sounds more meaningful to me. Everyone is busy day in day out through the year. We need to seriously think how to relax our body and refresh our mind. Travel is the best medicine. In addition, travel is a silent teacher who teaches the knowledge which can not learn from school. Different countries have different customs, they help expand our vision and enrich our experience.

I have been traveling a lot .I have been to Korea, Japan, HK, Mexico, Thailand, Hawaii, China ,and so on. I saw many great sculptures .In my experiences , in every different country, each country has their own culture,people,geographic views.There were a lot of interesting things happened in my trips.I met tons of new people from the other side of the world. Have you ever received a really expensive Gift? or you have been given a lot of cool presents?
Gifts means you know someone who might effect your life.Do you know why ? Because when you received or gave gifts that means you care someone or someone cares about you .so are you in the same page as i am now?
I have received an invaluable present that is my birthday card made it by my friends.I remember they made this card for me, put our pictures together,and wrote a lot of bitchy words in the card. When i got this card ,i was almost crying and laughting at the same time .This card full of our memories,our friendship,and our love.
That is the most expensive ,the best gift i have never gotten.People love expensive presents to show they REAL sincere intention.But for me , my gift is worth to called REAL GIFT.

Journal # 1 : Do you know 'ME" ???
Live well, Laugh often,and Love much . That's me , Becky.
Party ,Traveling , Surfing ,and Beach are my passions.I always laugh so loudly, talk so loudly, party so hardly to entertained myself and my poeple. I 'm a fun person to hang out with,and have a good sense of humor. I like the night life also day life. In the past few years, my life is just full of party ,school,and work. I really try hard to color my life. I dont like to sit over there, make some good money,ethicize the things, be a good person that this socail ife think the way people should be.I have my line with me. I know what should do ,what shouldn't do.
I’m an open-minded, optimistic and responsible person. I always maintain an optimistic attitude in handling any difficulties. I dislike people who bemoan the state of the universe and pity the fate of mankind. I believe people must create their future through their own power. I always do my best to take care of my own affairs. In my free time, I love to do some exercises, and have some outdoor activities, such as dancing, play basketball, or surfing, and so on. While I’m doing exercise, it makes me feel happy. Because my inner heart can feel my body breathes. Besides, I love traveling. I have been traveling a lot , I always get new impressions of this world from each travel experience.
I'm also an independent person; I like to deal with my own affairs and don't want to make my parents worry about me. For me, I think it's hard to tell what will happen in the future, but we can do the thing that we need to do well. Dad says: success is for people who strive. Hope I’ll find a sky that belongs to me in my future.
